WHAT’S INVOLVED

SITE EVALUATION

A thorough evaluation of your land is conducted considering access, open space, trees, slope of ground, neighbours and more to work out how a pool will best work on your place.

POOL DESIGN - APPROVAL

Through the combination of the site evaluation with your personal ‘wish list’ a design for your pool that will work with your site, budget and specifications is drawn and submitted for council approval. Once we get approval through we enter the construction phase.

EXCAVATION

The markup of your pool commences and our excavators will start the digging. Digging is taken with the up most precision  to shape the pool with accurate depths and straight edges for a great end result.

FORMWORK

A stage that you start to see the shape and detail of your pool coming to life.  The formwork involves, setting up the levels, setting out and making sure your pool is in the correct position. Within this process is the steelfixing of the pool is done, all the reinforcement that keeps the shell structurally sound is moulded into shape and fixed into position.

PLUMBING - LIGHTING

Once the formwork stage is completed, it is now ready to get plumbed. This is the pre-plumb stage, the skimmer box, pool return lines, pool jets, extra suction lines, deep return lines – for heating your pool and the light casting for the pool.

CONCRETING THE SHELL

Setting it in concrete, the day has arrived for all the planning, excavation,forming, plumbing to be set in concrete. With a combination of concrete plants, shotcrete guys and pump it all comes together on this day. Your pool take its final shape in concrete and then left to cure for 4 weeks.

SHELL PREP

The shell prep is a critical stage, as there are projects that might sit around waiting for other works to be completed. A good pump out any water in your pool, scrap down of the concrete shell with a deep sweep and vacuum up all the leaves and dirt that have accumulated, inspect the shell and get it ready for your final coating.

INTERIOR FINISH - TILING, PEBBLECRETE , PAVING AND RENDERING

Ready for the finishes now!!

It is time to carry out the tiling or pebblecrete – waterline or the whole pool depending on your design, pave over the coping and any extended areas, and render any integral retaining walls.

PLUMBING - LIGHTING

Ready for the secondary plumbing and light stage. All the plumbing that was done inside the pool shell now needs to be completed. This is where the plumbing lines are extended with the lighting conduits all the way to the pump and filter area. This work is usually completed within one day, it can also be completed before the finishing stages are underway.

SAFETY FENCING

Making your pool area safe is an important part of the process, the years of enjoyment is not far now. Once pool fencing is done around the pool, the construction phase is complete, the pool fencing is inspected for compliance and your can start filling the pool with the final two steps.

PUMP AND FILTER HOOK UP

The heartbeat of your pool or also also as the pool mechanics. The hook up stage of build the filtering system, although all pools system work the same the hook ups are like an art form when you see the completion of your new pool filteration system. 

CLEAN AND ACID WASH

The final step before filling your pool with water and getting it ready to swim. The acid wash lightly strips back any unwanted residue on the outer coating highlighting the colour in the interior. The hydrostatic plug is installed after the wash and you are ready to fill your pool. 

FILL AND BALANCE

The most exciting stage of the entire pool building process. Finally see the pool getting filled with water. Once your pool is filled up, commissioning the pumps and filters takes place ready for the final handover to you.
